Local MP Freddie van Mierlo joined the intrepid members of the Sonning Common Cycleway working party to highlight their campaign for a purpose built “greenway” between Sonning Common and Emmer Green. The group, which included very many supporters, cycled the route that they say they wouldn’t cycle alone as it is too dangerous.

The aim is to provide a safe, off-road, alternative to the busy B481 with its heavy traffic and semi-blind bends. This would benefit not just cyclists but walkers, commuters, schoolchildren and families.
